Indian low cost carrier IndiGo continues its breathtaking pace of domestic expansion with the addition of two new domestic routes and capacity expansion on Delhi – Hyderabad. This past Friday, IndiGo began service to Varanasi, its 36th destination and 31st in India, with three new daily flights between its largest hub at Delhi and Varanasi using its 180-seat Airbus A320 equipment with flight schedules as follow:

IndiGo is now the fourth Indian carrier in the Varanasi market though it is the smallest in capacity.

- Varanasi – Khajuraho (HJR) –> Jet Airways — 7x weekly Boeing 737-800
- Varanasi – Kolkata (CCU) –> Jet Airways — 7x weekly ATR 72-500
- Varanasi – Mumbai (BOM) –> Air India — 7x weekly Airbus A319
IndiGo is also adding new triangle service Delhi – Dibrugarh – Guwhati – Delhi with flight schedules as follow:

And the carrier is also adding a sixth daily flight between Delhi and Hyderabad.
IndiGo has a fleet of 75 Airbus A320s with 189 more aircraft on order (including 180 Airbus A320neo family aircraft split as 160 Airbus A320neos and 20 Airbus A321neos).
