Unfortunately collisions between aircraft on the ground are not that uncommon. The most common thing we see is an aircrafts wing tips clip another aircraft while being pushed by a tug. Luckily most of these incidents result in no injuries.
Yesterday morning an Asiana Airbus A330-300 (HL7792) which was taxing hit a Turkish Airlines Airbus A321 (TC-JMM) which was entering it’s bay. The Asiana aircraft knocked the vertical stabilizer (tail) right off the smaller aircraft.
The Asiana A330 was taxing towrads the runway to depart for Seoul, while the Turkish A321 had just arrived from Tymvou Ercan International Airport.
In the video it appears that the Asiana aircraft was taxing on the centerline and that the Turkish A321 had stopped having just entered the bay to either be pulled or marshaled in.
It is unclear how much damage the Asiana A330 has sustained but the flight was cancelled due to substantial damage being reported to the wing.

The airport fire crew doused the impact areas of both the aircraft presumably to ensure there was no chance of a fire starting near the APU on the Turkish A321 or by the fuel tanks on the Asiana A330.
The investigation should reveal whom was at fault for this incident the A321 seems to have stopped half way into the bay for some reason and the Asiana pilots failed to notice it was there and were presumably not informed by ground control about it either.
