Vistara to begin services to Pune

Vistara (Tata-SIA) today announced that it will begin operations to Pune form 9th April 2015. The airline will operate a daily flight on the Delhi-Pune-Delhi route. Passengers can now book Vistara flights from Delhi to a total of 7 destinations – Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Hyderabad, Guhawati and Bagdogra.

Mr Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara

“We received a very enthusiastic response from customers when we recently launched flights to Goa and Hyderabad, clearly indicating such cities are fast emerging as attractive destinations for leisure and corporate travelers. Pune has some of the well-developed conglomerates present and is one of the major modern cities in India. For Vistara, these places showcase immense potential as their robust infrastructure and good quality of life ultimately attracts more travel.”

  1. please start VISTARA services to BLR soon.

    • I can’t imagine that BLR is far from the table for UK. It’s the largest destination in the country that is yet to be served by them. And probably the most business-centric after BOM.

      • Its become a norm that all the major airlines just ignore or underserve BLR….

        • Feel happy that UK is not connected to BLR. Free the air space. The more someone ignores a destination the concerned airport authorities should not allow those airlines to fly more than one destination. While Air Asia was introduced too people form North weren’t happy. Let them enjoy UK. We have Air Asia. Jet Airways always ignored BLR now they are offering discounts from BLR on high frequencies routes. Let other airlines get business. I want Vistara to be like Jet and lose the market for their ignorance.

The more they do the more impact. Airports will never support airlines and will be secondary level treatment from the airport operatons (intangibles)

  2. Very bad timings. They should ideally have atleast one morning flight where people can go to Delhi in morning, complete their work & return back same day by late evening/night flight.

What will a business passenger do after reaching Delhi at 2350 ?? Go & sleep in hotel ??
This means take AI or Indigo flight which reaches Delhi by 1000 & if want to fly on Vistara take DEL-PNQ flight of 1845.
This PNQ-DEL flight is useful only if international flight at night needs to be taken from Delhi.
