Bangalore airport closures due to Aero India show begin today

The Kempegowda International Airport at Bengaluru will be partially closing airport operations starting today due to upcoming Aero India 2015 air show to be held at the adjacent Air Force Station (AFS) Yelahanka.

Airlines and passengers have been informed. Passenger planning flights between today and February 22, are advised to check with their airline for the revised timings of their particular flight.

The inauguration of Aero India on Wednesday, February 18th will be done by Prime Minister Modi, and one can expect extra-ordinary security that morning on the airport highway.

On all days of the show, one can expect exceptionally heavy traffic in the morning and evening. The airport is re-aligning ancillary support services by airport taxi and bus service providers to accommodate the increased commute times on NH7, the airport highway. Changes to airport operations will be informed via the airport website.
