Middle eastern carrier Qatar airways has taken delivery of it’s first Airbus A350-1000. The airline which was the launch customer of the A350 is also the first to operate the new type. The aircraft’s first flight will be to London Heathrow this weekend. The -1000’s will soon be deployed to the US east coast.
The aircraft MSN 88 will be registered A7-ANA and is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines.
Qatar’s -1000 is configured with 327 seats compared to the 283 on it’s smaller -900. The -1000 will also feature the airline’s brand new Q-suite business class.

The airline currently has 22 A350-900’s in service and has 37 A350-1000’s on order.
