Bangalore airport to partially close for Aero India and runway work

Bengaluru Kempegowda International airport will partially shut operations from February 8th to 18th due to the Aero India air show to allow for show rehearsals and flying displays.

The airport will close from the 8th to 11th February for show rehearsals and from the 12th to 18th for the show itself.

The airport operator, BIAL, has informed the airlines who are responsible to communicate changes in the flight times to passengers booked on their respective flights. Bangalore Aviation recommends passengers to please check with their airlines immediately.

As Bangalore Aviation reported earlier, the airport will also be closing it’s runway for maintenance and up-gradation from 19th February to 30th April 2017. The closure will be between 10.30 am to 5.00 pm IST (UTC + 5.5)

The airport operator BIAL has also stated that check-in times remain as normal and that a recent WhatsApp message claiming passengers must report four hours in advance for check in is incorrect.
