Etihad Airways launches innovative iPhone app

National carrier, Etihad Airways of Abu Dhabi has launched a new, innovative app for the iPhone. The app is aimed at making every aspect of the passengers’ journey simple and easy.

Guests using the app get a 10% discount while members of the Etihad Guest loyalty program will receive 250 bonus miles for every booking made through the mobile app before 30 May 2016. By partnering with Abu Dhabi Airports Company, guests can navigate their way through the Abu Dhabi international airport through indoor maps, a first in the Middle East.

While booking their tickets, passengers can view multiple fare and upgrade choices, followed by paying with credit card by simply scanning it. Later, the boarding passes can be viewed from the app or downloaded to the iOS wallet. The app also incorporates high resolution enhanced seating maps and a detailed layout of the cabin and their chosen seat. Passengers can also make use of the real-time updates and the ‘countdown to take off’ feature to reach in time. While checking in, guests only need get the passport page scanned while family and friends can remain updated with the real time flight information.

Thus, Etihad’s interactive and innovative new release is ready for use, available for download on Apple’s store.
