  1. This is a welcome step. We need more carriers like Vistara as Jet is nowhere near where it used to be earlier. The work of Jet airways is now only limited to transporting people out from India to Abu Dhabi….it’s like shuttle service for Etihad !
Air India, the less about it said, the better, though it’s improving at snails pace.
Hope Vistara adds more destination from Pune rather than being stuck on just PNQ-DEL route.

And if Govt of India scraps 5/20 rule, I would love to fly international on Vistara. It will be like flying on desi Singapore airlines 😉

    • Unlike SIA, Vistara does not have in flight entertainment.

Maybe the lack of IFE is a plus for some passengers!

The CEO of Vistara needs to shut up about 5/20, he knew the rules and decided to start another airline instead of acquiring GoAir.

      • More than IFE , it’s service & seating arrangements which matters. I would prefer more legroom of PE than IFE.

Vistara & GoAir are not compatible though they have A320s as service model is different. Vistara buying GoAir will lead something of KFA buying Deccan airways or Jet buying Sahara later making it Jetlite & degrading the premium.
And more than airlines, 5/20 is bad for passengers. I would anytime prefer to fly Vistara than say Emirates on routes like BOM-DXB OR DEL-DXB or Spicejet or AI on PNQ-DXB.

  3. Love the fact that Vistara is growing slowly and steadily. This is one airline which has global ambitions and can truly put India on the international connectivity map firmly. The LCCs are just not intetested on international connections and the others are too poorly managed.
    Keep up Vistara.

    • Bingo. Would love to see true blue Indian global premium carrier. Today despite being a major global economy, we don’t have a single airline which we can boast of, including Air India.
