Etihad to begin A380 service to India

Middle eastern carrier, Etihad Airways will begin to operate it’s Airbus A380 to Mumbai from May 2016. The new route is designed to connect to the carrier’s A380 New York service and will allow connecting passengers a through journey on the super-jumbo.

Mumbai is the fifth destination that Etihad has announced for their A380 service, but should be the fourth to begin with the recently announced Melbourne service scheduled to begin in June of next year.

The A380 will operate daily on flight EY204 from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai, and EY203 from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi, both of which will carry the 9W code of Jet Airways. The service is still subject to regulatory approval.
