Air France launches AirFranceTraveller online holiday planner

National carrier Air France has created a travel calendar and planner microsite to aid Indians planning a visit to Europe.

The Sky Team alliance member has launched AirFranceTraveller, on online web-app that allows our passengers to create their own travel itineraries to various destinations in Europe like Paris, Dublin, Prague, Vienna, Rome, Warsaw, Athens, Budapest, Barcelona and Lisbon. The application has a calendar showing a list of upcoming Indian holidays and monthly long weekends to aid in planning.

For each city, the site details featured attractions and events from the ten cities to help generate a personalised itinerary which can be shared via social media, emailed or printed.

I briefly tried the app. It is a decent but extremely basic app. One short-coming I observed was while Indian holidays are shown, European are not. Similarly a calendar of events will help aid and attract more tourists.
