SpiceJet to commence international operations on October 7th with Kathmandu and Colombo flights

Indian low fare carrier SpiceJet has announced commencement of its long awaited international operations by opening bookings for its Delhi Kathmandu and Chennai Colombo services. SpiceJet will fly its 189 seat all economy Boeing 737-800 aircraft on these routes.

The Delhi Kathmandu flight will be a six times a week service commencing on October 7th. The schedule is

SG031 departs Delhi 07:30 and arrives Kathmandu 09:00 all days except Tuesdays
SG032 departs Kathmandu 09:50 and arrives Delhi 11:20 all days except Tuesdays

The Chennai Colombo service will commence two days later on October 9th and will be a daily service.

SG001 will depart Chennai 00:45 arrive Colombo 02:15
SG002 will depart Colombo 03:15 arrive Chennai 04:35

SpiceJet is offering extremely aggressive fares for the launch which are just about half of fares from existing carriers.
